It should be noted that the functions of Global Deformation Modeling (GSM) include bending, radius bending, torsion, advanced GSM, replication, plane deformation, 3D deformation, ridge torsion and fillet conversion, etc. Providing a rich means of solving the modeling technique, although this example only uses the "Advanced GSM" command, it does implement a product model of three design schemes, as shown in Figures 12b, 13b and 14b, respectively.

In short, from manufacturing to creation is a development process that any enterprise has to go through. More and more designers have to move from Chinese manufacturing to Chinese creation, and creation is no longer designed to dissect or produce a certain component. It is the overall design of the entire product. In the long run, the use of 3D in the conceptual design phase is an irreversible trend in CAD technology.

3.5 Integrating networks to achieve collaborative design

The manufacturing industry is changing the traditional way of operation, and the business model has begun to change from a small and full model to a cooperative specialization model. Promote cooperation within and between enterprises based on Internet-based, distributed collaborative work based on project management.

ThinkDesign software not only has an integrated design system, but also has seamless integration with the TD PLM system. The specific integration method is shown in Figure 15a. Among them, the tool menu of the TD PLM system shown in Figure 15a is directly integrated in the ThinkDesign software, which includes functions such as login, check in, check out, create version, display material structure, obtain files from parts, save, etc. It can be operated directly on the TD PLM system. Then we take the parts download as an example to realize the assembly of parts from the TD PLM system.
