Laser brazing system on Chery A5 welding line

As one of Chery's technical highlights, the application of laser brazing technology on the welding production line of Chery's A5 series models has improved work efficiency, reduced production costs and achieved perfect body welding appearance quality.

Laser welding has significant advantages

In the automotive industry, resistance spot welding is the most commonly used welding method, but its process has problems such as large welding spatter, short electrode tip service life, large amount of seams, etc., and CO2 welding, MIG welding, Welding methods such as copper brazing are greatly affected by current and voltage, and stability is difficult to be reliably ensured.

In recent years, laser welding, as a high-quality, high-precision, low-deformation, high-efficiency and high-speed welding method, is becoming an important means of processing and manufacturing metal materials, and is increasingly used in automotive manufacturing and other fields.

Laser welding is to radiate a high-intensity laser beam to a metal surface. Through the interaction of the laser and the metal, the metal absorbs the laser and converts it into heat to melt the metal and then cool it to form a weld. In practical engineering applications, its advantages are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

(1) The laser beam has a small laser focus spot and high power density, and can weld some high melting point and high strength alloy materials;

(2) High degree of automation, fast welding speed and high efficiency, which can easily carry out welding of any complex shape;

(3) The heat affected zone is small, the material deformation is small, and no subsequent process is needed;

(4) The laser beam is easy to guide and focus to realize the transformation in all directions;

(5) High production efficiency, stable and reliable processing quality, and good economic and social benefits.

Of course, compared with the traditional welding method, the laser welding equipment is expensive, the one-time investment is large, and the technical requirements are also very high. At present, the application in China's industry is still quite limited, but the production efficiency is high and the automatic control is easy to realize. Its characteristics make it very suitable for large-scale production lines and flexible manufacturing. Our company has already adopted laser welding technology in the welding production line of A5 series models, and its successful application has already shown its characteristics and advantages.

Bandpass Filters

A band-pass filter or bandpass filter (BPF) is a device that passes frequencies within a certain range and rejects (attenuates) frequencies outside that range.
Bandpass filters are widely used in wireless transmitters and receivers. The main function of such a filter in a transmitter is to limit the bandwidth of the output signal to the band allocated for the transmission. This prevents the transmitter from interfering with other stations. In a receiver, a bandpass filter allows signals within a selected range of frequencies to be heard or decoded, while preventing signals at unwanted frequencies from getting through. Signals at frequencies outside the band which the receiver is tuned at, can either saturate or damage the receiver. Additionally they can create unwanted mixing products that fall in band and interfere with the signal of interest. Wideband receivers are particularly susceptible to such interference.[3] A bandpass filter also optimizes the signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity of a receiver.

In both transmitting and receiving applications, well-designed bandpass filters, having the optimum bandwidth for the mode and speed of communication being used, maximize the number of signal transmitters that can exist in a system, while minimizing the interference or competition among signals.

Outside of electronics and signal processing, one example of the use of band-pass filters is in the atmospheric sciences. It is common to band-pass filter recent meteorological data with a period range of, for example, 3 to 10 days, so that only cyclones remain as fluctuations in the data fields.
