Guangdong random inspection of nearly 20% of unqualified materials used in soft furniture exceeded the standard
The Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently notified the results of the regular supervision and inspection of the quality of the upholstered furniture products in Guangdong Province in 2010. The quality of nearly 20% of the products was unqualified, and the amount of formaldehyde released from 17 batches of products exceeded the standard.
According to the notification, a total of 268 batches of upholstered furniture products produced by 234 companies in 7 cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan were inspected this time, and 212 batches passed the inspection. The qualified rate of the sampled batches was 79.1%. Qualified 3 batches, the qualified rate of sampling batch of intrinsic product quality was 80.2%. The unqualified items are mainly: signs (31 batches), formaldehyde emission (17 batches), foam requirements (resilience) (12 batches).
