8. Platform tools
Platform tools provide a variety of applications common to the entire platform, including the following:
a) The model configurator, which complements the business model, is a simplified version of the metamodel definition tool for use by implementers/users.
b) The application configurator, which enables the adjustment and configuration of the application, is a simplified version of the application design tool for the implementer/user.
c) Workflow Designer for workflow definition and template management.
d) Workflow monitor to monitor, analyze, and manage workflow tasks.
e) Task box to receive and process workflow tasks.
f) Report designer to customize the report format.
g) Summary designer, to achieve the customization of statistical summary, and the output configuration of the report.
h) System management to achieve overall configuration management of the platform, such as DB/Vault management, data recovery and backup.
i) Log management, realizing log management, query, output, etc.
j) Security Center, which implements the configuration and management of users, groups, roles, and permissions.
k) Update management to implement various configurations and upgrades of the update.
l) Client configuration, server connection, personalized configuration, etc. of the client.
3. Workflow technology introduction
The CAXA workflow platform is developed based on the XPDL2.0 standard of the international standard organization WfMC, and is extended according to the requirements of product data management.
Workflow management is used to define, create, and manage the execution of tasks, including workflow definition tools, workflow engines, task boxes, and process monitoring tools. The workflow engine is a component provided by the public service layer of CAXA EAP. The process monitoring and task box belong to the EAP basic application layer.
