StoreDot is not the only company trying to solve the problem of charging electric vehicles. Porsche has previously stated that its Taycan, an electric sports car that will be launched later this year, can last for 100 kilometers in 4 minutes and 80% in 15 minutes. Tesla's super charging station can charge 80% of the battery in half an hour. Israeli startup Chakratec and Austrian energy supplier Wien Energie installed electric vehicle charging stations at the Vienna International Airport this month. StoreDot's batteries use germanium and tin, and the lithium content is lower than that of Tesla and Weilai cars that have recently experienced spontaneous combustion. Not only does this battery charge faster, it is also less likely to burn. Some experts worry that this ultra-fast charging technology may cause the battery to decay faster. But according to StoreDot, the company added a compound to prevent attenuation, although this has yet to be confirmed.
StoreDot said that after many tests, the final result is that its own battery will not decay.
