Aluminium Processing Industry's Robotic Effect: Selling High-Value-Added Products Back to the United States

The aluminum industry has repeatedly been named by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for its excess capacity. In particular, some large-scale leading enterprises, because of their high value-added products and strong bargaining power, rely on their core competitive advantages of high-end products that lead the industry, showing a “bright eye” performance that is different from that of the upstream industry. China Zhongwang announced the first three quarters of 2014 on October 30. Behind this growth of data is the high-end products produced by more than a dozen industrial robots.

The literature army has stated that the low-end products cannot be sold and high-end products are not enough to sell. This is a structural oversupply problem faced by the aluminum processing industry.

Some time ago, the newly introduced Robot Tray Welded Production Line at the Zhongwang Deep-processing Plant Workshop in China has begun work.

The new production line consists of 10 robots, each consisting of two mechanical welding arms and one carrying arm. The mechanical welding arm can improve the welding efficiency and quality. The fumes generated during the welding process are automatically purified by the smoke processor. The entire production process is completed by the robot intelligently, and only a few workers supervise the production process.

Even companies such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and high-speed rail vehicles have come to Zhongwang for cooperation.

The head of China Zhongwang stated that the high added value of industrial robot technology can not only effectively increase production efficiency and product competitiveness, but also effectively solve the pressure of increasing labor costs year by year. The robots introduced by Zhongwang are mainly used in deep processing. As far as the welding process is concerned, the robot manufactures deep-processed products with better efficiency and quality than manual operations. In addition to welding robots, China Zhongwang's other devices have basically achieved intelligence.

This is not the first time that Zhongwang Group has introduced industrial robots. Up to now, China Zhongwang has introduced more than ten robotic production lines from Austria, Germany and other countries to enhance the Group's aluminum extrusion processing capabilities, including IGM's total production line, IGM's automatic welding machine FOOK gantry machining center and other robot production lines.

Thanks to the role of robots and the correctness of the general direction, China Zhongwang has again sold its products back to the United States. This has caused the US's "double reaction" policy to fail.
