Maintenance method for large and medium-sized motors with moisture: Motor iron loss drying method
The principle of the motor iron loss drying method is to wind the excitation coil on the stator winding core of the motor, and to input alternating current, so that the stator core generates magnetic flux, and the temperature rise caused by the eddy current loss of the iron core is used to dry the motor.
The operation method of the motor iron loss drying method is divided into the following two types:
1. Wrap the excitation coil on the stator core of the motor (through the stator) and pass the 380V/220V AC power supply to dry the motor insulation.
Scope of application: large and medium-sized motors, motor rotor core extraction.
2. Wind the excitation coil on the stator shell of the motor, and connect the power supply through the electric welder and voltage regulation to dry the motor insulation.
Scope of application: Large and medium-sized motors, the motor has been installed on site.
The precautions for using the motor iron loss drying method are as follows:
1. When the motor is dry, the winding temperature of the motor must be lower than the temperature required by its specified insulation level (to ensure safety, it is better to be below 10 °C below its specified temperature). Generally, the winding temperature is controlled at 70 °C ~ 80 °C during drying. For the best.
2. In the initial stage of motor drying, due to the increase of temperature and the emission of moisture, the insulation resistance will decrease, then gradually rise, the rising speed will slow down, and finally reach stability. At a constant temperature, the insulation resistance value will remain above 3~4h. When it is time, the drying work will end.
3. During the drying process, the temperature and insulation resistance of each part of the winding are measured regularly and recorded. The initial stage of drying is recorded every 15 to 30 minutes. After 1 to 2 hours, the temperature of the motor must be recorded periodically to prevent damage caused by overheating of the motor.
4. During drying, the heating temperature should be gradually increased. The damp motor should be slowly heated to 50-60 ° C for 3 to 4 hours, and then gradually increase the temperature.
5. For the motor drawn out by the rotor, heat and dry should be carried out in clean air. Clean all parts of the motor before drying.
6. During the drying process of the motor that is not drawn out by the rotor, if the conditions are satisfied, the rotor of the motor is periodically rotated by 180 °C to prevent deformation caused by uneven heating of the rotor, which is also conducive to moisture emission.
7. Closed motor, when the rotor is not dry, the junction box or inspection hole of the motor should open a certain gap. The small low-voltage motor can also open the gap of the motor end cover to facilitate the moisture emission in the motor.
8. Motors with excessively wet windings cannot use DC current drying method, and DC has electrolysis.
9. When using current and iron loss method, the motor casing must have a good grounding wire to prevent electric shock. When using a bulb or iodine-tungsten lamp, etc., care should be taken to prevent electric shock.

Anodizing treatment is a surface finishing process for aluminum that forms a protective oxide layer on the surface of the metal. The process involves immersing the aluminum material in an electrolytic solution and passing an electric current through it. This creates a uniform and durable oxide coating that enhances the corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal of the metal.
There are two main types of anodizing treatment: sulfuric acid anodizing and hard anodizing. Sulfuric acid anodizing is the most common type and produces a thinner, more decorative layer of oxide coating, while hard anodizing results in a thicker, harder, and corrosion-resistant layer that is ideal for industrial and automotive applications.
Anodizing treatment provides numerous benefits to aluminum products. It increases their resistance to corrosion and wear and tear, making them suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions. The process also enhances the strength and durability of the metal, extending its lifespan and reducing the need for maintenance.
Another advantage of anodizing treatment is its ability to add color and texture to aluminum products. Different dyes can be added to the electrolyte solution to produce a range of colors, from bright and vibrant to more subdued tones. Additionally, different textures and finishes can be achieved through specialized anodizing processes, such as matte anodizing or brushed anodizing.
Anodizing treatment is commonly used in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, construction, and consumer goods. It is an eco-friendly process as it uses no hazardous materials and produces minimal waste. However, it is important to note that anodizing treatment may affect the dimensional accuracy of the product and may mask defects that are present on the surface of the material.
Overall, anodizing treatment provides an effective way to enhance the functionality and appearance of aluminum products. As research and innovation continue to advance, even more advanced and innovative applications of anodized aluminum are expected to emerge.
