Fault phenomenon: A CNC machine tool with FANUC OMC and model XH754 has too large X-axis clearance.

Analysis and processing: The X-axis clearance consists of the coupling clearance, the bearing clearance, the screw clearance, and the mechanical elastic clearance. Remove the X-axis guard plate, power off and shut down, hold the lead screw with your hand, and turn it back and forth. It feels that the free corner is large and has a large gap. Adjusting the X-axis screw bearing clearance and tightening the nut will not improve it. Suspected that there is a problem with the screw nut. Loosen the screw nut and the workbench, check, no gap is found; then open the bearing seat flange, check the screw bearing, and find that the inner ring of the two-angle contact bearing (back to back) has been tightened together. Under normal circumstances, there should be The clearance indicates that there is no room for adjustment in the bearing clearance.

According to the outer diameter of the bearing, a small ring pad with a thickness of 1 mm is placed in the middle of the outer diameter of the pair of bearings, and the original gap is subtracted, so that the inner ring of the pair has a gap adjustment margin of about 0.8 mm. After installation, adjust the bearing back nut properly, set the parameter 0535 to 0, measure the X-axis clearance to 0.02mm with the dial indicator, set the parameter 0535 to 15, and measure the X-axis clearance to 0.01mm, and the X-axis clearance can be eliminated. .

First check that the X-axis encoder cable connector M185 is normal, so it is judged that there is a problem with the X-axis serial encoder. In order to confirm, M184 and M194, M185 and M195 and the corresponding motor three-phase drive line are exchanged in the electric cabinet. It is found that the fault alarm becomes 339, and the fault becomes Z-axis, which proves that the X-axis encoder is defective. After replacement, troubleshooting.
