At the “China Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Standardization Forum†held in mid-June, the National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Standardization Technology Alliance issued the “Technical Specifications for Evaluation of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Effectiveness at Project Level†(STCE 1-2012) and “Residual Energy in the Steel Industry†The Technical Specifications for the Evaluation of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Effectiveness (STCE 2—2012) of the project is the first standard issued by the alliance. According to reports, the "Technical Specifications for Evaluation of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Effectiveness at the Project Level" stipulates the terms and definitions, basic principles, evaluation, quantification, monitoring and data quality management, evaluation report preparation, and evaluation of greenhouse gas emission reduction effectiveness at the project level. The validation and/or verification of emission reduction projects shall be applied to the evaluation of greenhouse gas emission reduction effectiveness of the emission reduction projects during project planning and implementation. The Technical Specifications for Evaluating the Effectiveness of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction in the Recycling Project of the Iron and Steel Industry stipulates the procedures, content, quantification and monitoring of greenhouse gas emission reduction effectiveness of the steel industry's residual energy utilization projects (including residual pressure, waste heat and by-product gas). Applicable to the evaluation of greenhouse gas emission reduction performance of waste energy (including residual pressure / waste heat / by-product gas) recycling projects of steel industry enterprises. According to the Interim Measures for the Administration of Alliance Standards formulated by the National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Standardization Technical Alliance, the alliance standard is a recommended standard, and its requirements are stricter than national standards or industry standards. The National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Standardization Technology Alliance actively promotes the transformation of alliance standards into national standards, industry standards or international standards. At the same time, the member units that implement the Alliance Standards may indicate the Union Standard Numbers executed on their products or specifications, packaging, etc.
