Bellows crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cell conversion efficiency of 24.5
KANEKA announced on July 28th, 2015 that the conversion efficiency of the 6-inch square large-area crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cell developed by the company had reached 24.52%. This is the result of a collaborative study between the company and IMEC Belgium and the NEDO. The measured values ​​were certified by the German Fraunhofer ISE.
The high conversion efficiency achieved this time depends on the collector formation technology based on the copper plating method developed in cooperation with IMEC and the technology that can reduce the surface defects of the crystalline silicon substrate.
