Application of Welding Robot on Freight Car Bogies

1. Introduction to freight car bogie
Freight car bogies are the key components of railway wagons. From the structural form, there are cast steel three-piece bogies and integral welded frame bogies. From the model, there is a 60t truck bogie, that is, 8A, 8B, 8AB, K1, K2, K3 and K4 bogies; 70t, 80t truck bogies, ie K5, K6 and K7 bogies .
At present, various truck companies mainly produce K5 and K6 bogies. The 60t truck bogies are basically not produced, but they are still used on the national railway line. K4 and K5 are oscillating bogies, which are based on the traditional three-piece casting bogies. The spring pallets are added to the 61t and 70t trucks and the 80t C80H and C80BH coal-powered gondola trucks. . The K2 and K6 bogies have been added to the traditional three-piece cast bogies, which are loaded on the 61t and 70t trucks and the 80t C80 and C80B coal-cars. The K7 bogie has been added to the traditional three-piece cast bogie to add a U-shaped sub-frame for the cast structure. The small batch is used on the C80BF coal-ceiling wagon and the C70 gondola. The K3 type bogie is an integral welded frame type bogie, mainly used for the X1K type express container flat car.
2. Development of bogie welding technology
All three types of cast bogies and welded frame bogies are inseparable from welding. In the 1960s and 1970s, the welding of the bogies was carried out by the electrode arc welding method. From the late 1970s to the 1980s, the CO2 gas shielded welding method was adopted. In the late 1990s, the argon-rich mixed gas shielded welding with small splash and appearance was adopted. Method, welding production efficiency and product quality have been improved. In recent years, with the upgrading of railway truck products and the continuous advancement of technology, bogie welding robots have been widely used, and railway truck manufacturing technology has developed rapidly, meeting the needs of heavy-duty and speed-increasing equipment for Chinese railway trucks.
